Stihl Chainsaw Review - 5 Ways To Choose Your Stihl Chainsaw

When assessing a Stihl chainsaw review keep in mind there are several factors you need to be clear about before looking at any of their products.

Here's a short checklist you can assemble which should narrow down your selection range:

- What type of chainsaw would your prefer - gas or electric?
- How much use will the chainsaw be getting?
- What will be the largest wood diameter you'll be cutting?
- What will you be using the chainsaw for. In other words, will the saw be mainly used for trimming jobs, cutting firewood or professional jobs?
- What is your budget range? Are you looking a spending a couple of hundred dollars or close to a thousand?

In this Stihl chainsaw review, we are going to use wood which ranges up to 12 inches in diameter. Stihl have some excellent products which will handle this type of job. Here are three of the Stihl models you could consider.

Stihl MS 210 C-BE Chain Saw

Great for trimming jobs and some light firewood jobs. It features Stihl's easy2Start system and is ideal for part time users. In fact, this model allows the operator to get away with a lot of the fiddling maintenance jobs featuring it's quick chain adjuster and toolless fuel and oil caps. At around $300, this chainsaw represents excellent value.

MS 230 C-BE Chain Saw

Another saw well suited to the occasional user. It has the features of the 210 but with a little extra power yet it's just as lightweight as it's cousin weighing just a fraction more. You'll need to contact your nearest Stihl dealer for official pricing.

MS 250 C-BE Chain Saw

Again suited to the occasional user but those who are a little more adventurous. Stihl has packed quite a bit into this chainsaw and like the above models, it is easy to start. Engine power is impressive and despite it's extra power, it is another in the lightweight division, in fact, it's a fraction heavier than the 210 and 230 but this will be hardly noticeable. It's priced between $300-$400.

The above suggestions are just a guide when doing your own Stihl chainsaw review but should narrow down the way you make your final selection.
