___________________________________________________________________
If your in the market for a chainsaw and are looking for the best chainsaws then you need to take stock and and assess some very important factors.

Simply going out and buying the best chainsaw is not a smart thing to do. You may be thinking a statement like that may have been made accompanied by a bottle of the hard stuff but the truth is, buying the best chainsaws means analyzing your situation and finding a saw that will best suit your requirements.

The best chainsaw on the market if you're an occasional user, probably isn't going to do you much good because it's likely to be expensive, big and totally unsuitable for the type of work you have in mind.

Shop For Chainsaws Suited To Your Situation

A professional lumberjack is going to have different needs in a saw than an occasional user. So assess your yard and what needs cutting and pruning and then look for a matching chainsaw.

When you've done this, then it's time to analyze whether you want a gas powered model or an electric chainsaw. Again, this will be entirely your choice in the end but weighing up the pros and cons of both will get you to make the right choice.

Gas powered saws are obviously more powerful and flexible; you aren't restricted by a chord but is your yard that big that a chord won't be good enough. An electric saw has the advantage of being cheaper and less noisy which is a big plus in a suburban area and neighbor-friendly.

Then it's time to look at brands. Stihl and Husqvarna will immediately come to mind as the two big names in chainsaws but you will probably be paying a little more. Consider brands such as Poulan and Echo which are both well respected and cater well to the occasional chainsaw user.

Best Chainsaws

As a guide, a couple of chainsaws to consider include Echo's CS-440 which comes with an extended warranty but will set you back anywhere from $250-$350. However, it's built to last and is an excellent saw with excellent power to weight ratio.

The best options for electric chainsaw include McCulloch's MS1640NTCC which is idea for backyard operators and the price is right to at about $80. Alternatively, at the higher end of the price scale, you could consider a saw like the Milwaukee 6215 but at around $300, it is pricey. However, you get what you pay for and it is a highly regarded model.

So just remember, shopping for the best chainsaws means looking for the best saws as related to your needs and if you adopt this policy, then you won't end up with a machine totally out of place for your particular scenario.
